The ideal specifications include an x-axis propagation perpendicular to the z-axis, polished and AR-coated optical faces, and Au or Cr/Au electrodes on the z-axis normals. A preferred size is around 3 mm × 3 mm × 30 mm, with a target electrode gap of 3 mm and an L/d ratio of about 10. I'm open to variations in size, such as 3 mm × 3 mm × 20 mm or 3 mm × 3 mm × 40 mm.
