We are in the process of developing an 18-ton tracked vehicle and are currently focusing on the track design. The concept includes a rubber outer structure with 5 layers of nylon cord reinforcement and 1 layer of steel cord reinforcement. The specifications are a track width of 650 mm, with 75 steel cords of 4.2 mm diameter and a nylon cord thickness of 1.2 mm. We would like your expertise on a few key points: Firstly, is the combination of 5 layers of nylon and 1 layer of steel cord suitable for our application? Secondly, could you recommend the appropriate nylon standard that would work best? We also need guidance on the right steel cord specifications, including tensile strength, along with a recommended rubber compound. Lastly, any insights on the expected service life of the track would be greatly appreciated. We can provide STEP and PDF files for further reference if necessary.
